Kind Girl Risk Her Job To Defend Old Woman Been Humiliated

Where was I going again? My daughter, please. May I sit here?  Mama, are you waiting for someone?  I I cannot remember.  Look at her. Who let her in here? Who allowed a homeless beggar into this place? Hey, are you lost? No, ma, you need to leave. This place is not for people like you.

My daughter, I just want to order some food.  Eh, your daughter. God forbid. I can never have a mother like you. Security. Security. Come and drag this beggar out of here. My child, I only want to buy food. Does this look like your type of restaurant? Look around you, old woman. You do not belong here. But my child, I don’t want to hear anything.

Security, drag her out of here.  My children, please. I can walk by myself. Please, you are hurting me.  Mama, please cooperate with us.  Take her outside. I don’t want to see her anywhere near this restaurant.  Please, you are hurting me.  I only wanted something to eat.  Please leave this area, mama. Today will be different.

So you are still standing here admiring yourself.  I’m not admiring myself, auntie. I’m getting ready to go out and look for work.  Look for work? That is what you say every day. You leave this house every morning and return with nothing. No job, no money, nothing useful. You are completely useless, Annabelle.

Auntie, I’m trying. Trying has never paid a single bill in this house. You should be grateful that I took you in after that useless father of yours left you with nothing.  He did not leave me, auntie. He died.  Same thing.  Now go out there and make yourself useful.  Yes, Auntie.  I’ll make you proud, Daddy.

Thomas, where are we going? I’m sorry, Mr. Cole. I took the wrong turn. I’ll correct it at the next intersection. You took the wrong turn. Is driving not the only thing you are paid to do?  It was an honest mistake, sir.  We will only lose about 3 minutes. 3 minutes of my time are probably worth more than your entire monthly salary.

So, do not tell me it is only 3 minutes.  I understand, sir. It will not happen again. It had better not. There are hundreds of people who would be grateful to have your job. Do not make me replace you because you cannot follow a simple map.  Yes, sir. You are paid to drive, not to think.  Mr.

Cole, your grandmother called  and she asked why you are not on the flight to Nigeria and never let them go. When everything So, you’re here looking for work?  Yes, Ma. I saw your vacancy online. H That’s how girls like you always come.  Ma, I’m sorry. I don’t understand.  You’ll pretend you’re looking for work. Before you know it, you’ve snatched somebody’s husband.

Ma, where is this coming from? I genuinely just want a job with a face like yours.  Ma, what do you mean by a face like mine?  I said go. Or is it by force? M  I said I don’t want you.  Okay, ma.  God, why is it so hard just to get one job? I’ve gone from one office to another since morning.

Everywhere I go, it’s either we’ll call you or they don’t even give me a chance. Auntie Beatrice is going to kill me if I go home without a job again. One more place. I told you never to come back here again. What are you still doing here, you old beggar? My child, please. I only came to buy something to eat. You cannot afford anything we sell here.

This is not a charity home.  Mama, let us go. Do not make this difficult.  Please, you are hurting me. Let go of her.  Madam, what is your problem?  My problem is that you are hurting an elderly woman. And who exactly are you? I am someone who knows this is wrong. This woman has been warned several times not to come back here and that gives you the right to insult her and have her dragged around.

You had better mind your business. She is old enough to be your mother. Even if she cannot afford anything here, she still deserves to be treated with respect. Look at both of you. One old beggar and one young beggar. You even look like you belong together.  Being poor is not a crime. Please sit here, mama. Thank you, my child. Please give me one loaf of bread and one bottle of malt. Take this first, mama.

You bought this for me?  Yes, mama. Please eat. Mama, I need to quickly rush for an interview.  You are leaving me here?  Only for a little while. Please stay here where people can see you. When I come back, I will take you somewhere you can sit properly and order food. I will wait for you, my child.

I’ll be back very soon, mama. [music and singing]  I have seen a wounded heart. We are more than we now. Good afternoon everyone. Let’s save the greetings.  Miss Annabelle, I can see you graduated with excellent grades.  Grades don’t run a five-star restaurant. You’ve worked in only small places.

Tell me what exactly makes you think you’re qualified to work here. Everybody has to start somewhere. Ma, I only need an opportunity to prove myself. Opportunity. This restaurant is not a charity organization. Perhaps we should hear more about  No, I’ve already sin enough.  You never intended to give me a fair interview.

This has nothing to do with my qualifications. You’re doing this because I stood up for that elderly woman outside. And even if I could go back, I would still defend her. You can keep your stupid job. I don’t need a workplace where kindness is treated like a crime.  [gasps]  I cannot believe that woman could be this wicked.

How could she do this to me? Because of what happened outside. She was clearly wrong. All I did was stop them from hurting an old woman. Well, maybe this is my fate. I will just have to look for another job somewhere else. Auntie Beatrice is going to kill me. But what can I do? God, please give me another opportunity.  Mama, I left that old woman outside.

[screaming]  Mama,  Mama, where are you? Please, where is the old woman who was sitting here? She just stood up and left. She left. God, please let her be safe.  Kindness fades.  So, how did it go? Did you get the job?  No, auntie. I said it. You are a very useless child. I WARNED YOUR FATHER, but he never listened to me.

Instead, he wasted all that money sending you to school. Look at you now. Very hopeless. How am I even sure you’re really looking for work? Only God knows what you go out there to do all day.  Auntie, I did go for the interview, but an old woman was being disrespected. I decided to help her. The manager got angry and refused to give me the job.

[sighs and gasps]  You helped an old woman and lost a job that was practically in your hands.  Yes, auntie.  Can you hear how foolish you sound? What were you feeling like? Mother Teresa.  But auntie,  get out of my sight. Useless girl. I hope mama is okay. What if she got lost? I do not even know her name. How many places will I go before somebody finally gives me a chance? Auntie Beatric said she will throw me out if I do not get a job.

Where will I even go? Daddy, I am trying. I will go out again tomorrow. I cannot give up. God, please let tomorrow be better.  What are you doing?  I’m trying to get something to eat. Auntie, I want to go out and look for another job. Eat? Did you bring any food into this house?  No, auntie.  Then why are you eating it? Do you think I will continue feeding a grown woman who contributes absolutely nothing to this house?  Auntie, I’m still trying to find work.

YOU HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR HOW LONG? Every day you leave this house and return with another useless story. You had better go out there and find a job because I am tired of feeding you. If you do not get a job before the end of this week, prepare to leave my house.  Leave?  Yes, leave. This house is not a rehabilitation center for useless adults.

Hello.  Good morning. Am I speaking with Miss Annabelle James? Yes, this is Annabelle James.  I am calling from Cole’s Grand Restaurant regarding the interview you attended yesterday. We are pleased to inform you that you qualified for the position. I qualified?  Yes, Mrs. James.

Would you be able to resume work immediately?  Yes. Thank you so much.  You are welcome. Please report to the human resources department as soon as poss.  I will be there. Thank you.  What did they say? I got the job. What are you doing here, you silly girl? I work here now, ma. You what? I was hired yesterday to work here.

Impossible. There is no way anybody hired you to work in this place. I already completed my clearance with human resources. Ma, I was officially employed to work here. Who authorized this? I don’t know. Ma, human resources called me and asked me to resume immediately. This cannot be happening.

Is there a problem? Ma, there is going to be a problem. I will not allow this to happen.  Don’t mind her. Just focus on your work.  Thank you. Who gave you permission to employ that silly girl?  What girl are you talking about? And why are you barging into my office like this?  Annabelle or whatever her name is.  Hold on.

The order came directly from head office this morning. I received instructions that she should be employed immediately.  Then fire her.  Unfortunately, that’s above my authority. There is absolutely nothing I can do.  All you have to do is turn a blind eye and let me handle her myself. Annabelle, I’ll make sure you quit this job yourself.

Fine. You can do whatever you want, but my hands are completely clean. I don’t know anything about whatever happens.  Good.  I understand that you have officially been employed here. Yes, Ma. And I understand that human resources placed you here as a waitress. Yes, ma. That is the position I was given.

Well, there has been a slight change. What do you mean by that, Ma? I was employed to work as a waitress. You were employed to work in this restaurant. Nobody promised you that you would remain a waitress. So what position am I being moved to? There are other vacancy available in this restaurant.

Unfortunately, none of them is in the capacity of a waitress. I don’t mind, Ma. I just need a job. You don’t mind? No, Ma. Good. Follow me. This is where you will be working as a cleaner. Yes. You said you only wanted a job. That’s fine, ma. That’s fine. Honest work is still work. Show her everything that needs to be cleaned and make sure she does not miss a single corner.

Sorry about that. Wash everything. Everything. Ma, did I stammer? Every plate, every cup, and every spoon must be spotless before you leave today. But Ma, there are kitchen assistants assigned to wash the dishes. You are right. I made a mistake. I should have reminded you that this is what happens when you keep buttoning into situations that do not concern you.

I will wash everything. Ma, good. I am so tired. Should I just quit this job? No, I cannot quit. Auntie Beatric will kill me before hunger even gets the chance. I cannot believe that with my certificate, I am now working as a cleaner. Annabelle, look at your life. But it is honest work. Hello.  Hello.

Is this the young lady who left an old woman under my tree yesterday?  Yes. Yes. This is Annabelle.  The old woman you have been looking for is here.  Mama is there.  Yes. She came back asking for you.  Please don’t let her leave.  I’m coming right now. Mama, thank God you are here. My child, you came. Mama, where did you go that day?  I suddenly remembered where I was going, so I left.

You made me very worried.  I am sorry, my child.  I brought this for you, mama.  What about you?  I am full. You can have it. This is your lunch, isn’t it?  It was, but I am really not hungry.  You may not have eaten anything all day.  Mama, please eat it. I saved it because I hoped I would find you here.

Did you get the job at the restaurant?  It is a very long story, mama.  Are they treating you well?  At least I have a job now. My child, I would like you to visit me at home. You want me to visit you?  Yes, I want you to come to my house.  Of course, mama. I will visit you.  You promise?  I promise.

What is this you are wearing?  It is my work uniform, auntie.  Oh, so the big job you were employed for is a cleaner’s job. It is a long story, auntie.  SHOULD I LAUGH OR SHOULD I CRY FOR YOU? After all the suffering your father went through to send you to school, this is what you have amounted to.

A cleaner, a mere cleaner in a restaurant.  Auntie, it is not what you think.  I do not care what it is. Whether you are cleaning plates or cleaning toilets, that is your business. As long as you bring money into this house, that is all I want. Now go and rest and do not forget to hand over your salary at the end of this month.

My entire salary? Did I stammer? If you fail to bring it, you will return from work and meet your things outside. H. Uh, I think I’ve missed my way. But this is the exact address mama gave me.  Good afternoon, ma.  Please. Are you Miss Annabelle?  Yes, I’m Annabelle. Madam has been expecting you.

She’s waiting for you in the sitting room. Please come in.  Annabelle, my child, you came.  Mama, what is going on?  Please sit down, my child. I know you have many questions.  You gave me this address, but I thought I had missed my way. The gatekeeper knew my name, and now I am seeing you inside this mansion. Mama, who are you?  My name is Adisua Cole.

I am the owner of Cooh’s Grand Restaurant.  You own Cooh’s Grand Restaurant?  Yes, my child. My mother and I built that restaurant from nothing. We started with a small wooden shed, a few cooking pots, and enough money to prepare only one pot of food. We did not build it for wealthy people alone. We wanted everyone to be able to sit down, eat good food, and be treated with dignity, whether they arrived in an expensive car or came on foot.

But after I lost my only daughter and my son-in-law, everything changed. My grandson was all I had left. He was still young, and the pain in that house became unbearable for both of us. So, I took him abroad and entrusted the restaurant to people I believed would preserve everything my mother and I stood for.

For some time, everything appeared to be fine. But recently, I began hearing disturbing rumors.  What kind of rumors? I was told that the restaurant had become a place where ordinary people were looked down upon. That workers judged customers by their clothes, their cars, and the amount of money they appeared to have. I refused to believe it without seeing it for myself.

So, I returned to Nigeria without announcing my arrival. I disguised myself as a poor old woman and went to my own restaurant. That was how I discovered the rumors were true. And that was how I met you,  Finn. The call from head office. You were the one who gave me the job.  Yes. You defended me when you believed I was a poor woman who could do nothing for you.

You were on your way to an interview, yet you risked your opportunity because you could not stand by and watch another human being be humiliated. You bought food for me when you barely had enough for yourself. And even now, when you thought I had nothing, you still came to visit me with the little you could afford.  Mom, I did not do any of those things because I expected something from you.

I only did what I believed was right.  That is exactly why I chose you. After I employed you, I considered ending my investigation.  Why?  I thought perhaps what happened to me was simply the behavior of one arrogant manager. But then I saw you again. I saw the cleaning uniform. I saw how exhausted you were.

And when you spoke about the restaurant, I could see that something was wrong. You were employed as a waitress. Why did Vanessa send you to the cleaning department?  Mama, it is all right. At least I have a job now.  No, Annabelle, it is not all right. A person should never be punished for showing kindness. If Vanessa can maltreat the employee sent directly by head office, then this problem is bigger than I imagined.

But there is another problem. My grandson growing up abroad gave him a different view of life. He is proud, very stubborn and sometimes he can be extremely arrogant. I was already worried about handing over cold group of companies to him. But after everything I witnessed inside my restaurant, I’m even more afraid.  I understand, mama.

That is why I need your help.  Me help you? How, mama? I made inquiries about you. I learned you studied restaurant and hotel management.  Yes, mama. But I’m only a cleaner.  I want you to become the chief executive officer of Cole Group of Companies. You will oversee every branch. You will oversee the restaurant.

And while doing that, I want you to help teach my grownson some sense.  Mama, he is a grown man. I don’t think there is any way he would listen to me. a grown man who loves his inheritance. Of course, he will listen. But forgive this old woman for asking so much of you. I failed to raise my only gruntson properly. No, mama.

Please don’t say that. You lost your daughter. You lost your son-in-law. You were both grieving. You did the very best you could. And I’m sure your daughter is looking down from heaven extremely proud of you. Thank you, my child. Almost back to Nigeria.  Grandma, why did you take so long?  Take so long? I have been standing here waiting for you.

You are the one who took almost 1 hour to come out.  Isn’t it obvious? This place is not for me. It is too hot here. I cannot stand it.  Then why did you come?  Well, someone threatened to block all my cards.  You are such a handful.  And you love me anyway.  Unfortunately for me, I do.  Good.

Now, please tell someone to save me from this heat before I change my mind and return to the airport. You have not even entered the car and you have already started complaining. This visit will be very interesting. Why do I feel like that was a threat?  Welcome home, my grandson. I’m so sorry, sir. I didn’t see you coming.  Are you blind? Watch where you are going.

Do you people just walk around this house without looking?  I already apologized, but you were also looking at your phone.  Excuse me.  I said you were looking at your phone. You were not watching where you were going either. So, there is no reason to speak to me as though I deliberately poured your tea.  You must be new here.

And what does that have to do with anything? It means you should understand your position before speaking to me like that.  My position? What exactly do you think my position is?  You work in this house, don’t you?  And because someone works in this house, that gives you the right to insult them.  I did not insult you.

I told you to watch where you were going.  You called me blind while your own eyes were buried inside your phone. If anybody should be asking whether someone is blind, perhaps I should be asking you.  Be very careful how you speak to me. Then be careful how you speak to people. Respect is not something you demand because you live in a mansion.

You give it before you expect to receive it.  Who exactly do you think you are?  Someone who will not allow you to disrespect her. And next time put your phone down when you are walking. It may save your tea.  Grandma, who is that manalless girl you employed?  Which girl are you referring to?  That girl. The one sitting beside you.

I want her fired immediately. You are smiling.  Am I not allowed to smile?  Grandma, you see what I am talking about? She has absolutely no respect.  Damian, are you ready to go to the office?  Grandma,  let us go. We are already late for the board meeting.  Come, Annabelle. Yes, Grandma.  Grandma, DID YOU SEE WHAT SHE JUST DID?  This girl has no idea who she is dealing with.

Everyone, listen carefully. I don’t want any mistakes today. We are expecting very important people, so I expect every single one of you to be on your best behavior. Our chairwoman, my soon-to-be mother-in-law, and her son, the CEO, will be visiting the restaurant today. Is she really marrying the owner’s grandson? I think so.

And don’t forget, her father has been on the board of directors for years. Really that close? He and the chairwoman’s late son were very close friends. team, remember to prioritize our VIP guests tonight. Lucky her. That’s the standard. Let’s make it flawless.  Good morning, everyone.  Good morning, chairwoman.  As you all know, I informed the board that I would be appointing my representative as the new chief executive officer of Cole Group of Companies.

You are also aware that my grandson has returned from abroad. He is back in Nigeria permanently and he is finally ready to learn the family business.  Don’t tell me grandma is planning to make this rude girl my assistant. What perfect timing. I will finally teach her a lesson.  And so after careful consideration, I have decided that the new chief executive officer of Cole Group of Companies will be Miss Annabelle James.

Annabelle James. effective immediately. Miss Annabelle James will serve as chief executive officer of Cole Group of Companies. She will oversee the operations of every company under the Cole Group, including Cole’s Grand Restaurant.  Grandma, what are you saying? I think there has been some kind of mixup.

No, Damian, there has been no mixup. Annabelle will be the chief executive officer, and you will serve as her personal assistant from today onward.  Personal assistant? You expect me to work for her?  I expect you to work with her. You will assist her closely and learn how every part of this company operates.

Never. There is no way that is happening. You brought me back from abroad for this to make me the assistant of a complete stranger.  I brought you home to learn and this arrangement begins today.  Damian, perhaps we can discuss this calmly.  Do not speak to me as though you are already my boss. She is your boss and you will address her with respect.

I will not do it.  Damian, the decision stands.  Grandma, this is completely unacceptable. You need to revoke that decision immediately. Otherwise, I will be on the next available flight back to the United States.  There will be no next flight, Damian, and there will be no revocation. Grandma, you cannot seriously expect me to work as Annabelle’s personal assistant.

You brought me back to Nigeria to learn the family business, not to carry files behind some stranger you picked from nowhere.  Annabelle was not picked from nowhere. She is qualified, intelligent, and capable. More importantly, she possesses something you have not yet learned.  And what exactly could that girl possibly teach me?  Let me ask you a question, Damian.

Have you ever worked under anyone before?  No, never. I have never worked under anyone in my life and I will certainly not begin by working under Annabelle. That kind of humiliation would kill me. Do you understand?  Very well. Let me ask you something else. In a business such as Cole’s Grand Restaurant, who do you believe ranks first?  The chairwoman, of course.

Then the chief executive officer. After that, the senior executives and everyone else. And that is precisely why I cannot work under someone like Annabelle. I am your grandson. This company belongs to our family.  You are wrong. The most important person is the customer. Without customers, there is no company. There is no inheritance.

There is no position for you to feel entitled to. Annal understands that every customer deserves dignity. She understands that workers deserve respect. She understands service in a way you currently do not. And that is exactly what you must learn from her.  You are not understanding me, Grandma. I dislike that girl. She is rude.

She is disrespectful. She behaves as though she owns every room she enters. There is no way I can work under her. I would rather learn directly from you. You built this company. You are the one I should be assisting. You already know that I love you. You would depend on that love whenever the work became difficult.

You would expect me to excuse your behavior because you are my grandson. Annabelle will not excuse you. She will treat you like every other employee. And that is precisely what you need.  So this is punishment.  No, it is preparation. I will not hand my life’s work to a man who believes leadership means everyone must bow to him.

You will work under Annabelle for 6 months. You will follow her instructions. You will learn every department of coal group of companies from the ground up. After 6 months, if I see genuine improvement in your character and work ethic, the board will review the arrangement.  You expect me to spend 6 months taking instructions from that woman?  Yes.

You will change your mind.  Report to your new boss tomorrow morning, 8:00 sharp.  Welcome to Grand Cole Restaurant. Do you have a reservation? Good morning, everyone. Please, this  Well, well, well. Look who finally showed up. Have you finally come to submit your resignation letter? Were you tired of embarrassing yourself, you silly girl? Where is the operations manager? And what exactly do you want with the operations manager? What? You want to report me? You’ve been abusing your authority over an employee. I believe there’s a name

for that. Perhaps you can help me remember it. You have a lot of guts. I asked a simple question. Where is the operations manager?  Good morning, Mrs. Annabelle. I received a message that you had arrived. May I please show you to your office?  Her office. Mr. Adami, this is Annabelle the cleaner.

Have all of you gone mad?  Miss Vanessa, I strongly suggest you prepare a proper briefing if you don’t want to lose your job. Good morning, mama.  Good morning, my child. How is your first day going?  It’s going well, mama. Thank you. It has been interesting, mama.  There is a lot of work to be done, but I will manage.

And Vanessa, how are you handling her? Do you think you can manage her? You do not have to worry about Vanessa, mama. I can handle her. That is what I wanted to hear. What about Damian? Did my grandson report to work this morning?  No, mama. I have not seen him. He has not reported for work. Is that so? Mama, what are you planning? Do not worry, my child.

I know exactly what to do. My grandson, you still believe I am joking.  Grandma.  Yes, Damian. I have been trying to book a flight for the past 30 minutes. Every single one of my cards keeps declining.  That is because I blocked them.  You blocked my cards?  Yes, all of them.  Grandma, don’t you think you are taking this too far? You cannot just block my cards because I refused to become that girl’s personal assistant.

You did not merely refuse an assignment. You ignored the board’s decision and failed to report to work.  I do not need a salary. This family owns the company. From now on, you will earn a salary like every other employee. You will learn to live on what you earn. You will no longer spend money simply because you know I will provide it.

You expect me to survive on a personal assistant salary?  Millions of people survive on less. You will be fine.  Grandma, restore the cards. I promise we can discuss this entire situation calmly.  So that the moment I restore them, you can book a flight and disappear.  That is not what I said.  You did not need to say it.

I raised you.  So, you are holding my money hostage until I obey Annabelle.  It is not your money, Damian. It is mine. You have simply grown too comfortable spending it. If you want access to your cards again, report to work. Do your job. Follow Annabelle’s instructions and prove that you are capable of becoming a responsible man.

8:00 tomorrow morning. Not 8:05. Not 8:30. 8:00. And every additional day you miss will add another week to the time your cards remain blocked. There’s your report. You’ve been the assistant general manager of this restaurant for 5 years. And according to these records, your father is the general manager. Correct.

Obviously. What exactly is your point? I’m actually more interested in how you got this office. Tell me, who exactly did you sleep with to become CEO overnight? To the best of my knowledge, this restaurant serves mostly continental dishes. Can you explain why? Isn’t it obvious? This restaurant is for the rich, the 1%, the elite.

We prepare food that suits their taste, and it has been doing perfectly fine. We’ll be reviewing the menu. I want affordable meals added so that people who cannot afford continental dishes can still eat here. That is never happening. This place isn’t for beggars. It’s only for people who can afford it. This restaurant exists to feed wealthy people.

I’ll make sure I drive you out of that office. Listen to me, young woman. You seem to be confused about something. As long as I sit behind this desk, I am your boss. and you will do exactly as I say if you don’t want to lose your job. Do you hear me? I said, do you hear me? Yes. Yes. Whatever. Get out of my office. What I said? Get out of my office.

Grandma is actually serious. She really blocked every single card. Not even one emergency card. My own grandmother has turned me into a broke man. I need those cards. I cannot spend 6 months living on the salary of a personal assistant. And that woman will be sitting there enjoying every second of this. Fine.

I will report to work, but I am not going there to make her job easy. I will frustrate Annabelle until she regrets accepting that position. I will make every single day difficult for her. She will resign with her own hands. Enjoy your victory tonight, Annabelle. Tomorrow, the real battle begins.  This your job? [sighs] Are you sure you really got a job? Yesterday you were wearing a cleaner’s uniform. Today you are wearing a suit.

What exactly do you do in that place?  Auntie, something happened at work. There has been a situation.  There is always a situation around you. Everywhere you go, there is one problem or another. You carry bad luck around like a handbag. Anyway, I do not care what happened. The month is almost over.

All I want to see is your salary on this table. Do you understand me?  Yes, auntie.  Auntie, is there any food in the house?  Did you keep any food in this house? Have you ever brought food into THIS HOUSE? YOU WANT to eat, but you have brought nothing. Go and ask your new suit to feed you.   Daddy, what exactly is going on? [sighs]  What are you talking about, Vanessa?  A woman named Annabelle James walked into the restaurant this morning claiming to be the new chief executive officer. So, the entire She entered the

executive office and started ordering everyone around as though the entire company belongs to her.  I thought Damian was supposed to become the chief executive officer. Is he not back from abroad? What happened during that board meeting? [sighs]  Damian is back and every member of the board expected the chairwoman to appoint him.

But the chairwoman suddenly changed her decision. She appointed Annabelle James as chief executive officer instead and she assigned Damen to work as Annabelle’s personal assistant.  Damian is her personal assistant?  Yes.  And all of you simply accepted it? You allowed that strange girl to take the position that belongs to Damian.  The chairwoman’s decision was final.

There was nothing any of us could do about it.  Then we need to get her out of that office. She does not belong there.  If you know what is good for you, you will lie low and do your job. Do not challenge Annabelle. Do not undermine her and do not involve yourself in matters that do not concern you.  Daddy, are you hearing yourself? That girl walked into my restaurant and spoke to me as though I were nobody.

It is not your restaurant. And right now, Annabelle is your superior.  Daddy,  I mean exactly what I just said. Stay out of this. It is none of your business. Do your job and allow the chairwoman and the board to handle the rest. Unless you want to find yourself outside that restaurant searching for another job.

And like I told you the last time, I’m done covering for your bad behavior. [clears throat]  So, you are choosing her side. I am choosing common sense.  Look who finally decided to grace us with his presence.  Do not be too full of yourself. I am only here because my grandmother refused to stop disturbing me.  Oh, I know. I am fully aware.

I have already selected the first project we will be working on together.  What project? Before Grandma Adua handed the restaurants to the former leadership, Koh’s Grand Restaurant supplied affordable lunches to schools. The meals were given to the children at a heavily discounted rate. The program has been inactive for several years. I want us to revive it.

Let me understand this properly. You want a restaurant as prestigious as Cole’s Grand Restaurant to start feeding poor people? If referring to school children as poor people helps you sleep better at night, then yes, that is exactly what I mean.  So, this is the great business education grandma believes I need.

You want to run down the restaurant by turning it into a charity organization?  Reviving the school meal program will not run down this restaurant. The cost can be controlled. The program can be sponsored through a fixed percentage of profits, partnerships, and bulk purchasing. It is also a project grandma cared deeply about.

I am certain she will be pleased to see it restored.  Then do it alone. I want no part of this project.  That is perfectly fine. I can handle it alone. I will simply inform Grandma Adua that you refuse to participate in your first assigned project.  Do your worst.  Wait.  Yes.  Fine.

I will work on the project with you.  Wonderful. I knew we would understand each other. First, speak with the head chef. We need to know the kitchen’s present capacity, how many meals can be prepared daily, and what additional resources will be required.  Of course, boss, the head chef, right away. Enjoy this while it lasts. So, this is the famous kitchen.

Good morning, sir. You must be Mr. Damian.  I am. I’ve been asked to inspect your department. You’re most welcome. I’ll gladly answer every question.  Wait, you’re in charge of all these local dishes?  Yes, sir. I’ve handled the Nigerian menu for many years.  So, people actually pay premium prices for pounded yam and agusi.

Sir, our local menu is one of the most loved sections of this restaurant.  Loved by who? Villagers. I have worked in this restaurant for 25 years. I’ve watched this kitchen grow from a single cooking station.  And yet, you’ve spent 25 years cooking village food.  Young man, you may not value our food, but this kitchen fed generations.

I honestly think this entire department should be scrapped. We should replace all these local meals with proper international cuisine.  I gave this restaurant 25 years of my life. I stayed when salaries were delayed. I stayed when the kitchen roof leaked. I trained almost every chef standing in this room.

But I will never stay where my life’s work is insulted. I resign.  No. If that’s how easily you quit, maybe you shouldn’t have been head chef in the first place.  Damian Cole, look at you. Vanessa, it has been a very long time.  Too long. You disappeared abroad and practically forgot everyone here.  I did not forget everyone.

I was simply enjoying my peace.  Your peace? Is that what you call ignoring my messages?  I replied sometimes.  Once every 3 months is not replying. I missed you.  It is good to see you too. At least there is one familiar face in this restaurant.  Annabelle,  that woman thinks she can order me around because grandma handed her an office and a title.

I still cannot believe your grandmother made you her personal assistant. You should be running this company.  Tell that to my grandmother.  Perhaps you simply need someone on your side. Someone who understands where you truly belong. What is this I am hearing about Head Chef Nong Gozi resigning? She resigned.

What exactly do you want me to do about it?  That woman has worked for this restaurant for 25 years. She helped build that kitchen when this company had almost nothing. She trained most of the chefs working there today. And you decided that your first assignment was the perfect opportunity to insult her until she walked away.

I told her the truth. If she could not handle it, that was her problem. She chose to resign. I did not force her to remove her cap and leave.  Annabelle, you are making this more dramatic than it needs to be. Chefs resign every day. I was speaking to my personal assistant, not you.  Do not speak to her like that.

Then do not give me a reason to enter this office and correct both of you.  This restaurant can employ another chef. She is not the only person in Nigeria who knows how to prepare local food.  This is not simply about replacing a chef. It is about how you treated a loyal employee.

You disregarded 25 years of service because her work did not fit your arrogant definition of sophistication. I am not apologizing for having standards.  Wait until your grandmother hears what happened.  Go ahead, tell her.  I am sure the chairwoman has more important things to do than worry about one overly sensitive chef.

Return to your department. Excuse me. You heard me. Return to your department. We will talk later. You will go to head chef in Goi. You will apologize and you will ask her to return.  That is never happening.  Then Grandma Adessa will hear everything directly from me.  You enjoy threatening me with my grandmother.  No, I enjoy holding you accountable.

I expect head chef and goi back in that kitchen before the end of today. Fix what you destroyed. Grandma, please listen to me.  You will go back to head chef and goi. You will apologize to her and you will bring her back to that restaurant. Grandma, why are you making such a big issue out of this? She is only a chef.

This company can employ another chef. Why is everyone behaving as though the entire restaurant will collapse because one woman resigned?  She is not just a chef. That woman you disrespected today stood beside me when I lost my mother. When grief made it difficult for me to enter the kitchen, she cooked. When I could not face customers, she opened the restaurant.

When I was too broken to think clearly, she helped me keep the business alive. She made sure the restaurant did not collapse while I was trying to hold our family together. She protected the workers. She protected the recipes my mother and I created. She protected the very business you now speak about as though it appeared from nowhere.

You walked into that kitchen believing your surname gave you the right to judge everyone inside it.  I did not know all of that.  You did not know because you did not bother to ask.  So what exactly do you expect me to do? Beg her?  Yes, if that is what it takes.  You want me to beg an employee?  I want you to apologize to a woman you humiliated.

Her position does not make her less human than you. I do not care what you must do. You will bring head chef Nosy back.  And what if I can’t?  Then I will personally purchase your ticket back to the United States and you can kiss your inheritance goodbye forever.  Grandma,  bring her back. Pick up. Madam, please pick up this phone.

PICK UP. PICK UP. PICK UP. [sighs]  [panting]  I have never seen grandma this serious before. What if she actually means everything she said? What if she really sends me back without anything? How am I supposed to bring back someone who will not even answer my calls? You just had to report me to grandma, didn’t you? You could not wait to tell her what happened so she could threaten me again.

For starters, I did not report you to Grandma Adua. Head Chef Enosi has worked with her for over 25 years. Do you honestly believe Grandma would not notice that she had suddenly stopped coming to work?  You still could have helped me before the entire situation became this serious.  Secondly, this mess was created by you.

So, you should be the one to fix it.  I have tried to fix it. I called her throughout last night. She refused to answer. I called again this morning. She still did not pick up.  Then perhaps you should learn to ask for help when you need it.  You expect me to beg you to help me?  You seem to think you can storm into my office and command me to solve your problems.

That is not how asking for help works.  Fine. Help me.  I cannot hear you.  Help me. Where is your please?  Please, Miss Annabelle James, I need your help.  Good. I will help you, but on one condition.  What condition?  You will never talk down to any member of staff again. You will never humiliate an employee because you believe their position makes them inferior to you.

But I am their boss.  Then it appears you do not need my help.  Okay, fine. I promise.  Never.  Never. I promise.  Good. Let us go.  Go where?  To head chef and go’s house. Of course.  We have to go to her house.  Do you have a better plan?  No. No. It is fine. Let us go.  When we arrive at Mango’s house, you will greet her properly.

You will prostrate before her. And then you will lie flat on the floor and apologize.  What do you mean I should lie on the floor? You will remain there until she accepts your apology and asks you to stand.  Why would I do something like that, Annabelle? That is completely ridiculous.  You are a Yoruba man and I am certain you were raised properly.

Despite everything you are displaying now, so you know exactly what I am asking you to do.  There is no way I am lying flat in front of Chef Nzi. She is still an employee of my family’s company. And that is exactly where you keep getting everything wrong. You see a position before you see the human being.

She is not merely your employee. She is an elderly woman old enough to be your mother. She served your family faithfully for decades and you humiliated her publicly.  Fine, I understand your point. But lying completely flat on the floor is too much.  No, it is not. That is the only way she will see that your apology is sincere.

I will think about it.  Sir, ma, this traffic is becoming very serious. At this rate, before we reach the mainland, it may already be late at night. So, what are we supposed to do? Sleep inside the car?  We will have to come down.  Come down and do what? Mango’s house is still very far from here.  We are taking a bike.

What?  Get down quickly before nights meet us here.  Annabelle, I have never entered a commercial bike in my life.  Then, today is another wonderful opportunity for you to learn, brother. That amount is too much. We are not going outside Lagos. Reduce it.  Madam, look at this traffic. The place is far and I will still carry two people. That is my final price.

Annabelle, are you certain this is a good idea?  You can take a separate bike if you are afraid.  No, there is no need for that. One bike is perfectly fine.  I thought you said you were not afraid.  I am not afraid. I am simply being practical. Fine, let us go before the traffic becomes worse.  Hold something before you fall.

I am perfectly balanced.  This means absolutely nothing. I am only trying not to die.  Hold tightly, Mr. Practical.  Chef Nosy, I’m deeply sorry. I was proud. I disrespected you. Please forgive me.  Mr. Damian, you don’t have to do this. It’s all right. I have forgiven you. Welcome both of you. Please sit.

So what made both of you come all the way here?  Grandma Adessa insisted. She told us we must bring you back to the restaurant. If we don’t, we will both lose our jobs.  I spoke to you disrespectfully. I had no right to. Even if you work for the restaurant, it gives me absolutely no right to disrespect you.

I am truly sorry. Please come back to work. You know that restaurant is practically my second home. Grandma Desawa and I have built that place together for many years. We have seen joy and we have survived pain together. If grandma send both of you and you’ve come all this way, then I’ll return. By the way, I didn’t see your car outside.

How did both of you get here?  We came on an Okada. You mean the same Mr. Damian climbed an Okada? [laughter]  You really did not have to bring me all the way home. I could have taken a cab.  I was the one who kept you out this late. The least I could do was make sure you got home safely. I may be arrogant, but what kind of man would sleep peacefully without knowing whether you arrived home safely? At least you are finally admitting that you are arrogant.

Thank you for helping me today. I actually learned a lot, more than I expected to. You made me realize something. If anyone had spoken to my grandmother the way I spoke to Chef Andy, I would never have accepted it.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Even me,  especially you. [laughter] Honestly, Annabelle, thank you very much.

All right, enough. I will see you tomorrow.  So, do I get a hug?  For doing the right thing once,  I rode an Okada.  I prostrated. I apologize. I believe I earned something.  Good night, Mr. Damian.  Good night, Miss Annabelle James. Grandma, you should have seen Mr. Damian.  What did he do again?  The moment we got to the traffic, I told him we had to continue on an okada.

Grandma, the look on his face, I thought he was going to faint.  My Damian on an Okada. [laughter]  Grandma, please don’t encourage her. She has been laughing at me since afternoon. [laughter]  She should be here any minute now.  Who are you expecting? Vanessa, why is everybody suddenly quiet? Grandma, you know Vanessa and I have been friends for years.

Yes, of course I know. Is she already on her way?  Yes. She really wanted to see you, so I invited her over.  Perfect. Then she can join us for dinner. Annabelle, what are you doing here? So, this is where you have been bringing your fraudulent friends. You were not satisfied with forcing yourself into the company.

You also brought the beggar woman into this house. And what are you doing here this time? Have you come to beg for food again? Or are you the new cleaner? Because this place certainly looks too expensive for someone like you. Damian, you need to be careful.  These women are fraudsters. These women are fraudsters. This old woman kept coming to the restaurant dressed like a beggar.

I had to keep throwing her out. Then Annabelle appeared and started defending her. I did not realize they were working together. They must have planned this entire thing. You need to throw both of them out before they steal from your grandmother.  SHUT UP, VANESSA. DAMIAN,  how dare you walk into this house and speak to my grandmother in that manner?  Your grandmother  in the flesh.

I am Grandma Adessa Cole, founder and chairwoman of Cole Group of Companies.  Ma, please forgive me. I did not know it was you.  And that is precisely the problem. When I came to the restaurant in disguise, I wanted to understand what had happened to the values on which that company was built. I saw the way you treated me.

I saw the way you treated Annabelle. And I heard how you treated other workers. I had hoped that perhaps it was only one bad day. But what you displayed here tonight, you are apologizing because you now know who I am, not because you understand that what you did was wrong.  No, ma. I am truly sorry. Please give me another chance.  Your father is a respectable man who has served the company for many years.

I expected better from his daughter. You need to examine your character. Money, position, and family connections do not make you better than anyone. Become a better woman before your pride destroys everything around you. Come mama, let us go inside.   Damian, please. I did not know she was your grandmother.

I would never have spoken to her that way if I had known.  That is exactly what makes this worse. Vanessa, you believe people deserve respect. Only when they are rich or connected to someone important.  No, Damian, I made a mistake. Please speak to grandma for me. Tell her I am sorry.  [snorts]  I am not in a position to judge you.

I have also spoken down to people and treated them as though their positions made them less important. But I am beginning to understand how wrong that is. I hope you learn from what happened tonight. I hope you examine yourself and genuinely become a better person.  So, you are not going to help me.  No, this is something you must take responsibility for yourself.

Now, please use the door.  Are you all right?  I feel like I have just tasted my own poison. [snorts] And now I can clearly see how much it hurts. I treated people the way Vanessa treated Grandma tonight. Maybe not look down on people because I believe my name and position made me better than them.  Do not beat yourself up too much.

What matters is that you can now recognize that it was wrong. Some people never get to that point.  I should have seen it earlier. Grandma has spent her entire life teaching me to respect people. But I was too proud to listen.  You are listening now. That is a good place to begin. Thank you for standing up for my grandmother.

You defended her when you thought she had nothing. You had no idea who she was. You were not trying to impress anyone. You simply saw an elderly woman being treated badly and you stepped in. I finally understand why grandma chose you.  I only did what I believed was right.  Come here.  Another hug.  Do not make me change my mind.

Keep stirring, Damian. Don’t let it stick.  Yeah, chef. Got it.  I heard there was an emergency. What happened? It is the weekend. What exactly is going on?  A charity organization contacted us this morning. They are hosting an emergency outreach for children and displaced families.

They need hundreds of food packs before this afternoon. Because it is Saturday, most of the kitchen staff are off duty. We are seriously short staffed. Do not just stand there looking surprised.  Grab an apron and join us.  Tell me what you need me to do. Start portioning the rice. Damian will handle this. I will  get those trays ready.

We need 500 by 200.  I’ve got this.  Of course. And you failed your own test. [laughter]  What?  Nothing. I was wondering how someone so small can laugh this loudly.  Take that back.  Never. Damian, don’t you dare. [laughter]  Damian,  you are finished.  Oh, no you don’t.  I have seen a wounded heart.

Learn to love and make a start. We are more than names and crowns. More than where we came from now. We choose to truly care. We build a home for every   Are the cakes baking or are the two of you baking something else? We were working.  I can see that.  I can’t believe you did this to my apron. Well, you started it.

Uncle, come and play with me.  Me?  Yes. We need one more parent for the game.  I am not a parent and I’m not very good at children’s games.  It is only a game, Damian. She is not asking you to raise her.  I know that.  Then go. She chose you. Do not disappoint her.  Fine. One game.  Yay. Let’s go.

Around the cones and collect a flag returning.  Come on, Uncle. This way, uncle. This is just for fun.  I do not know how to lose for fun.  High five.  We are.  We did it. Second place.   You’re the best, kido.  Hey, little one.  This  game is the obstacle race.  You’re on. I’ll cheer you on.

I thought you were not good at children’s games.  I was only helping her.  Of course. That explains why you celebrated second place like you won the World Cup.  Bring that auntie, too. We can play another game together.  Come, the next game is starting.  All right, let’s go. When the night is cold, you’re the light that someone follows.

Kindness never f tomorrow.  Thank you for bringing me home.  You have been saying thank you every time. But I have noticed something.  What have you noticed? I have been dropping you at home quite often. Do you not think I deserve some form of payment?  Payment for dropping your boss at home.

Exactly. Fuel is expensive. My time is valuable and this is premium transportation.  Send your invoices to the chief executive officer’s office. She will review it within 90 working days.  90 working days. This company clearly does not value its most hardworking employee.  Good night, Damian.

Good night, Annabelle.  So, you have finally decided to return. Look at the time.  Auntie, I had work to do. There was a charity event and we finished late.  Work? Is that what you now call following men up and down? I saw the expensive vehicle that brought you here. You have decided to waste your life completely.

Every day one story or another. Today it is work. Tomorrow it is one man dropping you home. Where is the money you have been making from all these people since you claimed you started working? How much have you brought into this house? I don’t have it. I do not even blame you. I blame my brother. He spent his entire life sending you to school.

He worked morning, afternoon, and night because of you. He worked himself to death trying to give you a life. And after everything, what have you become? Nothing but bad luck. You are the reason my brother worked himself into an early grave. I am sorry, auntie, but I cannot take these insults anymore.  What did you just say to me?  I said I cannot continue living like this.

I am sorry that you lost your only brother. I know how much you loved him. But he was not only your brother. He was my father. I lost him too. But what was I supposed to do? I was his child. He worked hard to give his daughter a future. That was his decision as my father. So stop blaming me for his death. Stop pouring your anger, frustration, and grief on me.

I am tired of carrying guilt for something I did not do. After everything I have done for you, this is how you speak to me.  I have stayed here because I did not want you to feel alone. I knew you were grieving. I thought we could survive our loss together. But if you continue treating me like your enemy, I will move out.

I will leave this house and allow you to live exactly the way you want. You are threatening to leave me. I am not threatening you. I am protecting myself. You need to learn how to channel your grief properly. You are not the only person mourning. I will mourn my father for the rest of my life. And I am still mourning my mother, too. But I refuse to let grief destroy the life they wanted me to have.

I did not kill him. [gasps]  I did not kill my father. I did not.  Daddy, I am sorry. I am so sorry.  I am tired. I am so tired of pretending that I am strong.   Like the sun breaking through the  blue.  Annabelle, where are you?   fades away.

Annabelle,  Damian, why are you here?  I overheard you and your aunt arguing. I wanted to come inside, but before I could get out of the car, you rushed out of the house. You stopped a taxi and left.  I lost my mom while she was giving birth to me. After that, my dad raised me all by himself.

He was always stressed from taking care of me and working until one day he collapsed at a construction site and died. My auntie said I killed him. She said my father worked himself to death because of me.  That is not true. You did not kill your father.  But he worked so hard for me. What if I was the reason he could not rest?  He worked hard because he loved you.

He wanted to give his daughter every opportunity he could. That was love, Annabelle. Not a burden you should punish yourself for.  It’s okay. I’m right here. Thank you for always.  Even if the world should change, my love will always stay the same. Just stay a little longer. Every moment with you makes my broken heart grow stronger.

You You became my answer. Like the stars that find the night. You became mine forever.  I am sorry. I’m so sorry.  Stop saying you are sorry.  But I shouldn’t have.  If anyone should apologize, it is me. I kissed you and I am not sorry that I did. Damian,  I know this is not the right moment,  but what happened between us was not an accident,  I cannot do this right now.

I need to go.  Annabelle, wait.  Let me at least take you home. You are too upset to leave alone.  No, I need some space. Annabelle, [crying]  why do you look as though someone asked you to solve all of Nigeria’s problems tonight?  Grandma, I think the problem I have is even greater than Nigeria’s problem.

Is it Annabelle?  How did you know?  Grandmothers know everything.  Do you like Annabelle?  I like her.  No, I like her very much. more than I expected to,  but I do not know whether she feels the same way.  Did you ask her?  I did not get the chance. She left before I could explain anything.  Then you should ask her.

You cannot know what is in her heart if you are too afraid to speak.  What if she pushes me away?  The young woman I saw holding you so tightly on the balcony did not look like someone planning to push you away.  Grandma, forget.  I told you grandmothers know everything. [laughter] Speak to her honestly.

Do not command her. Do not pressure her. Tell her what you feel and allow her to decide what she wants. Your uncertainty remains, but my words can give you courage.  I will try.  That’s my boy. [sighs] You will not believe what I saw yesterday. What happened? I saw Ugadamian entering Madame Annabelle’s office very early and he stayed there for a long time inside her office alone.

Yes. And when Madame Annabelle finally came out, she looked completely unsettled. Oadamian followed her into the corridor trying to stop her. Do you think they are dating? I think something is happening between them. Have you not noticed how Ogad Damian follows her everywhere now? What did you just say, Ma? [sighs and gasps] I said, what did you just say? We were only talking.

Ma, talk. We think Ogadamian and Madame Annabelle might be dating. You think you can get away with this? Let’s see how you handle this. What’s she doing? She’s lost it.  If we rearrange the service stations, the waiters will spend less time moving between the kitchen and the dining area.  That should also reduce the waiting time for customers.

We can test the new arrangement during the afternoon shift.  Madame Annabelle, watch out. [screaming]  Annabelle, are you hurt?  No, I am fine. DAMIAN, OPEN YOUR EYES. THAT WOMAN DOES NOT LOVE YOU. DAMIAN, open your eyes. THAT WOMAN DOES NOT love you. She is only interested in your family’s money. SHE IS A GOLD DIGGER.

SHE CAME FROM NOTHING. She is a poor, wretched beggar. She is not in our class. How dare you? She does not deserve you.  You are right about one thing.  Annabelle may not love me, but I am the one who is crazily in love with her. Damian.  And whether she belongs to our so-called class or not,  she is a better human being than we could ever hope to be.

She showed kindness when she had nothing to gain. You nearly armed her because your pride could not accept that I chose to care about her.  Damian, please listen to me. I only did this because I love you.  This is not love.  Security room, do not allow her near Annabelle again.  Damian, you cannot choose her over me.

Gold balloon was right.  Are you sure you are all right?  Damian, are you all right? Did the hot water touch you anywhere? Let me see your hand.  I’m fine. It didn’t touch me. I’m okay.  Don’t ever do that again. Don’t ever risk your life for me again.  You have no idea how scared I was.

If I had to do it again, I would.  A thousand times over.  Damian,  no. Please.  Let me talk.  Annabelle,  I don’t even know when it happened. I completely fell in love with you. I know I wasn’t a good man when we met. I was proud. I was arrogant. I judge people. I hurt people.

And I hurt you. But because of you, I became someone I never thought I could become. You changed my life. Please give me one chance. Let me spend the rest of my life proving to you that I will never stop loving you.  Damian, I love you, too.  You mean that. You really  I love you too. I love you so much.

No candle will hurt his grace. The hands that lift another soul [music and singing] will know when fall down truth. Ladies and gentlemen, please rise and welcome the founder and chairwoman of Grand Cole Group of Companies.  Thank you. Please be seated.  Many years ago, my mother and I began Grand Cole with very little money.

We did not have powerful investors. We did not have influential friends, and we certainly did not begin inside the beautiful buildings that now carry our name. What we had was determination. We had faith. But above everything else, we had kindness. My mother believed that every person deserved to sit at a clean table and enjoy a good meal with dignity.

It did not matter whether that person arrived in an expensive car or walked into the restaurant with their last money. Somewhere along the way, that value was lost. Our restaurants became symbols of status instead of places of service. People were judged by their clothes, their bank accounts, and the cars they drove.

I returned home because I wanted to discover what had become of the company my mother and I built. I disguised myself as a poor and helpless elderly woman, and what I discovered broke my heart. But during that painful experience, a stranger stood up for me. She did not know my name. She did not know I owned the restaurant. She did not know that helping me could change her life.

She saw an elderly woman being humiliated and she chose kindness. That stranger reminded me of my mother. She reminded me of the woman I once was. And she reminded this entire company of the values we abandoned. It therefore gives me great joy to announce that Annabelle James is no longer serving as acting chief executive officer.

Effective immediately, Annabal James is here appointed the permanent chief executive officer of Grand Cole restaurants.  You earned every part of this.  I did not know she was going to do this. But that is not my only announcement tonight. 6 months ago, my grandson returned home believing leadership was his birthright. He was intelligent.

He was confident. But he had not yet learned that leadership without humility is merely another form of arrogance. Over the last 6 months, I have watched him change. I have watched him listen. I have watched him apologize. I have watched him serve. He has proven that he is not only intelligent but also compassionate.

He now understands that customers are not figures on a financial report and employees are not people beneath him. I am therefore appointing Damian Cole as chairman of Grand Cole Group of Companies. Congratulations, Mr. Chairman.  Congratulations, Madame Chief Executive Officer.  Come join me on stage.

Protect this legacy. Grow it,  but never forget the kindness on which it was built. I promise  we will make you proud.  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the next generation of Grand Cole, Mr. Damian Cole and Miss Annabelle James.   Hi guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel.

As you all know, this is Val Stories and I really hope that you enjoyed the movie that you just watched. I will be really, really excited if you will tell me in the comment section what you learned about this story. I’ll be there to respond to each and every one of them. This story that you just watched is about kindness. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share to your loved ones.

That would really, really love to watch the story. And see you on my next movie. I remain your favorite.  Bye-bye.  Even when the whole world changes, love will find a way through the walls that pride creates. When the night is cold, be the light that someone follows. Kindness never [music and singing] fill lives on tomorrow.

I have seen the proud fall down. I have seen [music and singing] the lost be found. I have seen a wounded heart learn to love and make a start. We are more than names and crowns, more than where we came from now. When we choose to truly care, we build a home for everyone there.

What we give will find  its way back to us another day. Every heart deserves a place.
